The Milton Abbot community joined together during National Road Safety week to raise driver awareness about the need to slow down through our village. The children learnt about road safety, created a chant and held posters reminding cars to slow down. Parents also formed a 'Walking Bus' through the village and the children now wear hi-vis vests to make sure they are seen. What a brilliant local community!

One of the pictures above is the real Stonehenge...but two of them are made out of biscuits during Tawny Owls' very exciting history learning! We enjoy weekly history lessons at Milton Abbot School because we believe the language, stories and vocabulary involved offers so much to our children.
We raised nearly £100 dancing like the Strictly Stars on our beautiful front lawn - thank you to our dance teacher Jess Squire for leading, who comes in weekly to teach the children and they love it!
We held our traditional whole school assembly on the front lawn to pay our respects to those who served our country and who continue to do so. We also thought about the importance of friendship and cheering each other on. This year was made special by Grandad Hurdwell playing his trumpet and Hester reading a poem. We raised £173.00 for the Poppy Appeal. A special time.
