What does the PTFA raise money for?
The PTFA has just given the school £1,000 for the purchase of additional playground equipment (Summer 2009). The school used this money to buy skipping ropes, cats cradles, wobble mazes, balls, diablos,
spinning plates, pom-poms, skateboards and wall mountable games for draughts
etc.
Money raised previously has been used in the past to buy musical instruments, waterproof coats for our sports teams and funding towards special visits or visitors to school. This term we funded the transport costs so that all of our children could attend the 'Rediscover our Common Land' fieldwork trip where we worked with local artists environmentalists and scientists.
In addition, each of the four classes (Red, Green, Blue and Yellow), have also been given a sum of money to spend as the staff see fit. This may be used for new playground equipment, be put towards the cost of financing a trip or anything else which will benefit the whole class.
Thanks!
Our thanks to out going officers from last year; Chair Wendy Mander and Vice Chair Liz Dawe. The team ensured another successful year supporting the school and providing those important extras for the children. Thanks also to all parents who support our events and requests for help during the year. It is much appreciated.
