TRIP TO ROYAL SHAKESPEARE COMPANY, STRATFORD
Well done to Yellow Class!
Yellow Class went to Stratford to perform their own version of MacBeth, It was called 'Mr Mac and the Ruler Army'. We played to a huge audience in The Orchard Theatre, It was an amazing experience. Most of our parents made the journey to watch us in action.
Well done to every one who took part. We all did a great job.
WELL DONE YELLOW CLASS!!
Tribute to Mike Pyne (1979-2007)

The whole community at Milton Abbot School is shocked and saddened by this terrible loss.
Our first thoughts are obviously with Mike’s wife, Jane, and the family.
Mike was just 28 but he was very much a family man and he was happily making a home with the girls in Sticklepath. He and Jane married in August 2005 and celebrated the birth of Jessica, last year.
Mike originally trained in law but decided in his early twenties that he wanted to be a teacher. The law’s loss was education’s gain.
Mike joined our school in January 2003, after completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, and soon proved himself as a dedicated and enthusiastic professional. I believe he had a great future in teaching ahead of him.
In addition to his role as class teacher, Mike soon became maths coordinator and began to play a leading role in ICT, music and sports.
His sense of fun made him a natural to take charge at school discos and organise special events such as Red Nose Day. Mike was a keen sportsman, a supporter of Southampton F.C. and Plymouth Albion. He could often be found – in all weathers -training our football and tag rugby teams.
Mike had just moved into a new classroom and was excitedly planning new ways to make the most of his surroundings and get the maximum benefit for his pupils .
We all feel privileged to have worked alongside Mike over the last four years. We will all miss him.
